Hey Dave had a couple of questions for you on the schedule.  I noticed that the State singles are being held in March, what happened to January?  I thought entries were up 20 people from the previous year.  I personaly like it in March.  Also was wondering what happened to the UofM as the host for this event?

We experimented with the tournament dates over the last few years to try and generate more interest and participation but found that it really didn't matter where we moved things...some would like it and others would not. 

We have pretty much gone back to the traditional schedule with Doubles back in November, Singles at the end of the year and Hall of Fame back on the January date.  The majority of the feedback we got indicated that people liked having the singles championship at the end of the season.

The U of M is under construction and the courts are not available for tournament events for the next two seasons.  Lifetime Fitness has stepped up and offered us a nice multi-year deal to hold our major tournaments at the Fridley Club.  They have purchased a very nice 12 court speaker system for referees and have boosted their wireless access throughout the club to allow us to run the tournament equipment without loss of signal.
