I am getting back into racquetball, and also new to the area.  Does anyone have a good place to get their racquets restrung?  I'm in the south suburbs, so somewhere near would be good.

I know some sporting goods stores might, but I want a quality job and they aren't usually the best for quality work (based off past experience).  So if you know a good place please let me know where to take my racquets.

Thanks,

There's a great stringer named Terry Kisling. He does all of my racquets and I think he does a great job! He's strung for many if not most of the top players here in MN and has been stringing for almost 15 years. He's the only one I let string my racquets!

ok... I'm just trying to be funny. I'm Terry. All of the above is true, though. Feel free to email me at tkisling@yahoo.com and I'll send you my phone number and we can talk about it. I'm in Bloomington/Eden Prairie area!

That brings up a great point in general..and maybe something we should post on the site. There is NO reason to go to a retail store to have your racquets strung around the metro. We have several very good stringers that float around the various suburbs that all can do a quality job. Terry has been stringing for years and also was found stringing at some tournaments as well so he is highly recommended. In general you will get a better stringing job from a racquetball player as we know the racquets, know in general how they play and what tensions to use, what string to recommend etc... you won't get this from a local tennis shop where stringing racquetball racquets is an after thought for them. You will also find private stringers to be a little less expensive overall.

That said...I will see if I can get some names and contact info out there for some of the stringers that cover the different areas around the twin cities so people can start to utilize them.

Adam, send me an email at steve.foss@toro.com or sc.foss@comcast.net.
I can string a racquet for you and I live in Plymouth if you are still in need.
What kind of racquet do you have? Regards, Steve
